Busy Summer Weekend Reminders
Posted on Jun 14th, 2021
Dear Property Owners,
We hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and got to get in some lake time even though the weather was not the best. We wanted to share our thoughts on how things went around the community the past couple of weekends and let you know some things we observed that could use improvement.
The clubhouse was in great shape after the weekend and the pool appeared to have been well used with everyone having a good time.. The trailer parking lot was full and some trailers were parked in the lower lot which can be expected on a busy weekend.
We were notified of a couple of issues that we need your help with.
1. The Ice Machine - The ice machine was purchased to provide ice for clubhouse events and not to supply ice for the whole community. Some people heading for the Marina were stopped from unloading the whole ice machine into two large containers. Taking a small cooler of ice is acceptable but clearing out the ice machine for you and your guests is unacceptable and disrespectful of your neighbors. There are many local retailers who have ice available for sale at a reasonable price.
2. Dogs - Dogs are to be on a leash and you are to pick up after your dog. Apparently, there is a problem at the boat ramp with dog dodo being left by dog owners.
3. Gym Door - The gym door is being unlocked so that others can access without a key card. Please do not unlock the gym door.
4. Glass in the pool area - We have had an incident with glass in the pool area. There is to be no glass in the pool area. This includes everything within the fenced area. If glass is broken within the pool area, the pool will need to be drained, refilled, new chemicals and the county inspector must approve the reopening of the pool. This would be costly and cause significant delays in reopening the pool.
5. Construction Dumpsters - There were people stopped putting household trash into a construction dumpster on Russell Brothers Road. They appeared to be guests of a property owner. No dumping of household trash is allowed in construction dumpsters or the clubhouse dumpster. This should not be new to anyone as we have communicated about this issue on multiple occasions. Please make sure your guests know where to dispose of trash.
We communicate on all of these issues on a regular basis. Please help us by complying with these issues so that we can continue to maintain Sunset Bay in the manner everyone expects.
