Water Temperature
Although we’ve had some beautiful weather, the water temperature is still relatively cold. Our muscles don’t work as well when they are in 40-50-degree water, and extended time in the cold water could result in hypothermia. In addition, the initial shock of plummeting into the water could cause someone to gasp for air and take in water. These are a few reasons to wear life jackets while boating, swimming, fishing, and all water activities that we love to do on Lake Norris, all year long.
As always, contact Matthew Murphy if you need assistance or have questions for safety practices on the water.
