Information Regarding Dark Sky Guidelines and Trailer Parking To Property Owners of Sunset Bay
Spring is coming and boating season will soon be upon us. The Board of Directors would like to remind everyone of some critical issues in the Covenants and Restrictions and Architectural Guidelines of Sunset Bay.
First, we want to remind everyone that our covenants prohibit the parking of trailers, watercraft and recreational vehicles in the driveway unless permitted by the board. The board has allowed temporary parking of these vehicles upon request for a limited period. If you would like to do this, please contact the office by email or phone and Jenny will forward your request to the board for approval. This is covered in the covenants under Section 8.02 Parking and Garages which is available on our website.
We will be notifying owners of property where there are violations of this restriction by email or mail and asking for compliance within a short period of time. Continued violations are of course subject to further action which may include fines.
We would also like to remind everyone of our dark sky policy and prohibited lighting. Specifically, we would like to remind property owners that exterior lighting should be limited to areas where there will be pedestrian movement and should be extinguished when these areas are not in use. Lighting must be operated by a combination of photocell and motion sensors that will automatically turn off the lights within five minutes or are manually switched and operated to comply with pedestrian movement as described above. A full set of Exterior Lighting Rules/Guidelines can be found under section 6 of the Architectural Guidelines which can for found on our website.
Again, we will be notifying owners of property where there are violations of this restriction by email or mail and asking for compliance. Continued violations are subject to further action which may include fines.
